Frequently Asked Questions

Who can purchase these MCP libraries?

Only customers located within the United States and Canada can purchase these libraries.

What is BRT Technologies (BRT)?

BRT Biotechnologies was founded by Jane Liu, Gregory Copeland and a team of expert scientists with the vision of advancing drug discovery by providing high quality macrocycle libraries that enable rapid identification of promising drug leads. Leveraging decades of expertise in medicinal chemistry, BRT developed the innovative BRiTeCycle™ platform.

What makes these MCP libraries different?

These MCP Libraries are built using the proprietary BRiTeCycle™ platform, enabling the creation of structurally diverse, non-canonical macrocyclic peptides. This approach offers:

  • Enhanced Diversity: Access to 10,000+ unique peptides synthesized from over 60 α-, β-, and γ-amino acid building blocks (out of the 1,000's available), including N-alkylated and cyclic structures.
  • Optimized Screening: Libraries designed for compatibility with both phenotypic assays and mass spectrometry-based workflows.
  • Rapid Turnaround: Made-to-order libraries with lead times as short as 2–3 weeks for smaller libraries.

What is BRiTeCycle™?

BRiTeCycle™ is a novel synthesis engine developed by experienced medicinal chemists. It enables the creation of macrocyclic peptides beyond the capabilities of standard SPPS or mRNA display methods, expanding access to non-canonical structures and high-diversity scaffolds. This platform has already demonstrated significant impact, with 10,000 macrocycles synthesized, delivered, and screened by NIH/NCATS.

What is the purity of the compounds?

Each compound is delivered at ≥70% purity, suitable for most screening applications. For follow-up studies requiring higher purity, resynthesis with full purification is available upon request.

How much material is provided per compound?

Each compound is delivered with 15 nmol, which is standard for high-throughput screening. Larger quantities can be provided through resynthesis if needed.

Are custom formats or layouts available?

Yes, libraries can be delivered in discrete or pooled formats, including 384-well plates. Custom plating and barcoding options are available upon request to suit your specific needs.

How does this ship?

Can ship on dry ice, overnight.

What are the lead times?

  • 2,300-compound library: Approximately 2–3 weeks
  • 10,000-compound library: Approximately 2–3 months

All libraries are made-to-order to ensure they meet your specific requirements.

Is pricing listed online?

Pricing is not listed online. To receive a quote, please submit a request through our "Request a Quote" form. Introductory offers are available for early adopters.

How does fulfillment work?
